Today was a sanding day. I spent about two hours sanding down the bottom so that it’s ready for the fiberglass. All the corners are nicely rounded, nails set, and epoxy sanded to remove the shine. The large gap at the front of the bottom panel has taken the epoxy nicely. Here’s a before and after shot.
Then I spent another hour sanding down fillets on the interior of the boat. Tomorrow is supposed to be a warm, sunny day, so it should be a good day for getting the fiberglass on the bottom of the boat. I’ll glass in the morning and then add a fill coat later in the day depending on how long it takes the first coat to set up to rubber hard.
